German football star Mesut Ozil has paid for the surgeries of 23 Brazillian children to show thanks for their World Cup hospitality. Ozil had orginally pledged to pay for 11 surgeries before increasing his pledge to 23.

People criticize him so much. Yes, he’s had some issues with his football career but he’s such a great guy. Even if he’s in Arsenal I wish him the very best. No worries Ozil, in my you have someone who will defend you no matter what… Don’t know why I like him so much but I do.

"If you can’t like Captain America anymore because he’s black, there’s a word for that."

Dean Trippe (via t1mco)

I was at a comic shop I never stop at off of campus yesterday and the owner was saying something similar. If you have a problem identifying  with the Falcon of all people taking up the mantle of Captain America then he doesn’t want to finish the conversation.

If you don’t think ANY women could be worthy of the hammer of thor then it says everything about you.

(via emily84) Uhhhhh, wasn’t there already another black Captain America? 2003 I mean its not the first. There’s a lot of people who like Captain America now is because of the actor currently playing him not because of the actual character or storyline so its like their point of views are invalid. For the people who really do like comics even if they never become movies they are probably no issues. Green Lantern is black and white depending on which series you read or watch. I like them both though the love triangle between black Green Lantern, Vixen and Hawk Girl is very amusing to watch other than the color of their skin is irrelevant.

Arturo is a 29-year-old male polar bear currently living in Argentina’s Mendoza Zoo. He is suffering in 40C (104F) heat in an enclosure that has just 20 inches of water for him to swim in and has as a consequence been displaying worrying behavior.

Please sign this petition or at least spread the word in order to have Arturo transferred to a zoo in Canada which has better facilities for an animal that is used to polar conditions.

I already signed. If you can’t or don’t want to sign, can you at least just reblog so more people see this. Last time I check only 20,000 signatures were needed. Please help him…. please!!!

Please guys, if you could sign this it would mean a lot. I’ve been following this case for months and it’s infuriating how little this zoo and our goverment care about this poor guy. Let’s give him a happy ending.

PLEASE!!!

Without taking credit from any other team in this World Cup, including my own, I have to give more credit to this team. Many are even talking more about the 2nd place team. That doesn’t take away from Germany either but lets shine the light a little bit more on this team.

For the world cup their camp where they stayed during the event was built just for them and managed by Germans but hiring all Brazilian workers.

Since January of this year, they have contributed to a foundation that helps at risk children. The place is called Casa Mateus, where the children currently live.

Through their stay in Brazil, they visited the school Santo André, and had gatherings with the children as to thank them for having them in their country. The project was called The Children’s Dreams of 2014.

Their camp known as Camp Bahia is going to be donated so it can become an orphanage and football school. This place has a gym, pool, restaurant, 14 houses, 65 residential units, and an airport.

They also donated 10,000 Euros to and indigenous community so they could buy an ambulance. Donated materials and furniture to a school.

Finally, also finance so the school has a football field.

The info came from Tiro Libre.
